Are business and the government partners, antagonists or subordinates? Is state involvement in the economy justified and what is its optimal level?

The Kyiv School of Economics and VoxUkraine invite you to a two-day seminar that will set up a framework for thinking about these questions and provide insider opinions on the issues.

Seminar participants will:

  • know the rationale and principles of state involvement into the economy;

  • understand different market structures and anti-monopoly regulations;

  • find out the latest developments in the reform of state-owned enterprises in Ukraine, including the largest monopolies;

  • learn about the impact of state policy on firm performance/productivity;

  • understand the logic of network industries’ regulation and its application in Ukraine;

  • learn about the new public procurement system and its usefulness for business.

At the end of the seminar participants can write a final test (optional), and those who successfully pass it will receive a certificate.
